The mountain in the iconography of pop music.
The National Mountain Museum exhibition hosted by IREN in the Casa Alpina ‘Pierfranco Nigretti’ at the Ceresole Reale dam between July and September.
After stops in Turin, Trento and Bilbao, the exhibition - curated by Daniela Berta, director of the museum, and Paolo Ferrari, journalist and music critic - presents the Museomontagna’s collection of vinyl covers with a mountain theme in a new guise. Through a selection of this unique heritage, Rock the Mountain! traces the evolution of the music industry’s visual communication and taste for mountain representation over the last fifty years.
