Departing from Torino at 9:00 am, the day begins with a pleasant visit to Caluso, the heart of the Urban District of Commerce. Here you can admire the majesty of Palazzo Valperga, discover the history and art preserved in the Parish Church of San Calocero and Sant'Andrea, and treat yourself to a moment of pleasure at the Caluso Regional Wine Shop, where you can taste the elegant Erbaluce and the tasty Salam d'Patata, a typical speciality of the Canavese area.
Continuing towards Chivasso, the route passes through the historic hamlet of Mandria, built at the behest of King Carlo Emanuele III of Savoy between 1760 and 1770 as a royal estate, dependent on the Venaria Reale in Torino.
After lunch, the day resumes with a visit to the imposing Cavour Canal Dam, a masterpiece of engineering and a symbol of water management in the area.
Finally, an immersive walk in the Bricel Natural Park will allow you to admire the spectacle of the foliage, among the warm and evocative colours of autumn, thus concluding an experience that combines history, nature and the food and wine traditions of the Canavese area.
Lunch and tasting are available at an additional cost. To book, please write to [email protected].
The tour ends at approximately 6:00 pm.
The visits are organised thanks to the contribution of the Camera di commercio di Torino and the collaboration of Ascom Confcommercio Torino e Provincia, Ascom Chivasso and Turismo Torino e Provincia.
