Turin’s palaces are revealed in a unique guided tour. On 2 June and 4 November, an unmissable opportunity to discover Palazzo Civico and Palazzo Madama in a unique and special moment.
The itinerary starts at Palazzo Civico, the historic seat of the city’s town hall, with a walk that begins in the courtly rooms and culminates in the Sala Rossa (Red Room) and the Office of the President of the City Council, exceptionally open to the public. We then continue to Palazzo Madama, which represents not only the entire history of the city: from Porta Decumana to a medieval castle, from a masterpiece of European Baroque to the seat of the Senate of the Kingdom that decreed Italy united and Rome as the capital city, and hosting the signing of the Council of Europe’s Social Charter.
Palazzo Madama is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Turin’s Civic Museum, housing over 70,000 works representing the dialogue between East and West and one of the most significant collections of applied arts in the world. The visits are free of charge and exceptionally accompanied by the director Giovanni C.F. Villa.
The tour starts at 9:45, 10:45 and 11:45 a.m. at Palazzo Civico. The initiative is promoted by the Presidency of the City Council and the Management of Palazzo Madama.
