Music has the ability to move through space, filling not only the theatres but also the squares, the streets, the air. It is a bridge between sensitivities, a tangible and audible sign of the deepest creativity. MITO SettembreMusica knows how to be, simultaneously, a container and an amplifier for this creativity and a vehicle that facilitates the movements of music. Spatial movements, between one place and another, between two cities that are profoundly connected and complementary, that know how to make the diffusion and cultural ramification in their territories a precious instrument of growth and enrichment for the community. MITO SettembreMusica offers us the opportunity to walk along different musical paths and to build a unique itinerary each time through a programme made up of different themes.
There will be three concerts in Piazza San Carlo: the Festival will open with Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony interpreted by the Teatro Regio ensembles conducted by the young Michele Spotti; Ludovico Einaudi and Giovanni Sollima’s 100 cellos, together with Enrico Melozzi, will be the protagonists of the other two evenings.
