Sestriere Film Festival - from the olympic mountain... a view on the world is an international film festival organized by the Association Montagna Italia.
The festival, entirely dedicated to the cinema and the culture of the mountain, promotes mountains thanks to cinema, photographs, music, art and prize-giving.
The themes are: mountain, alpinism, exploration and hiking.
The 14th edition of the festival takes place at the Fraiteve Cinema, Europe’s highest cinema at 2,035 m, with a final concert at the Alpette Refuge on Sunday 11 August.
The aim of the event is to promote the mountains through high-altitude cinema: in addition to film screenings, there will be no shortage of talks. And it will be an edition in which we will commemorate several anniversaries.
In addition, every morning there will be hikes around Sestriere with the Alpine Guides.
