From 4 to 18 August at the Proloco Sestriere premises, exhibition ’Anthology’ by Maestro Mariano Carrara. The exhibition is open every day from 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m., free entrance. Sunday 4 August at 19.00 there will be the inauguration.
Mariano Carrara was born in Credaro (BG) in 1954, after graduating from the Technical Institute of Monza, he studied painting and sculpture privately. his introspective research results in realistic portraits the shadows of faces, the spontaneous expressions also realised on plaster in order to best capture the expressiveness and suggestive power of the characters. He investigates a new world, makes a particular painting to take a new emotion in the subjects the portraits.The artist has a strong interest in the sensuality of the portraits of the female world a path marked by the relationship between past and present taking more or less faint traces of lived lives as inspiration to transform them into contemporary portraits. Mariano Carrara makes people reflect on their past experiences through the analysis of unusual art choices that have determined the present. His canvases include portraits marked by intense gazes and shadowy tones, an interiority that is certainly unusual and possesses a creative vitality that manages to convey new emotions.
