FESTIVAL TEATRO E LETTERATURA 2024. PRINCESA - EXILLES

Arias De Albuquerque, nicknamed Princesa, or Princess, by a restaurateur she worked for, is a young boy who does not recognise himself in his body, and from an early age wants to be a girl. She wears make-up, plays with dolls, desperately wants to be other than her body. He then begins his journey, difficult and desperate, from a small rural village in Brazil to the big Brazilian and European metropolises; the common thread of this journey is the constant search for an emotional sexual identity.
Vladimir Luxuria gives the emotions and melancholies of Princesa, which she has unfortunately also experienced in her own skin. It will be all in all a performance in which the spectator will not experience a disconnect between the performer and the story.
