Leif Ove Andsnes’ concerts are like a breath of fresh air, reminiscent of the clear and crystalline atmosphere of Scandinavian landscapes.
Norwegian, born in 1970, with an incredibly rich list of achievements - including eleven Grammy nominations and seven Gramophone Awards - Andsnes is a true master of touch who combines the classics of Central European 19th century music with fragrances from the far North.
The tribute to his fellow countryman Grieg with his youthful Sonata op. 7 is joined by the nostalgic Bohemian melodies of Janácek’s collection On the Overgrown Path and the beloved Chopin of the famous Preludes op. 28 in the recital that sees him as the protagonist at Lingotto Musica, where he has been absent since 2019.
