An afternoon excursion to discover Cà ‘d Marc (Marco’s house), the stone shelter of a stonemason shepherd who left us curious engravings on the stone.
Starting from Alpe Fumavecchia, we will follow the beautiful path towards Pian dell’Orso, through a thick forest of larch and fir trees. Following a short diversions from the main path, you will visit the old rock shelter to admire the engravings and learn about the history of this bizarre stonemason. You will then reach the scenic Pian dell’Orso. Descent along the same route as the ascent.
At the end of the hike, it will be possible to go to Alpe Fumavecchia and buy alpine cheese.
Duration: 3 hours (excluding breaks)
Meeting point: 2:30 p.m. at Alpe Fumavecchia in Villar Focchiardo
Height difference: 440 m
Length: 5 km (total)
