PRESENTAZIONE DEL LIBRO "CUORE D'ORO, DALLE ANDE ALLE ALPI" E MOSTRA "LUZ DE LUCHA"

CULTURE & TRADITION
On the surface, Ima’s mountain is a wave of rock between the high ridges
more than four thousand metres in the Peruvian Andes. But even mountains
have a heart, and hers is all gold. Ima is a petite woman who
fights a great battle: she has decided to resist
defend her home and stop mining in the sacred Andean land.
She thought she had won when she became the symbol of that struggle but
now, the spotlight turned off, she is left alone, hostage to the battle of the mountain and her heart of gold. From the myth of Atahualpa to the arrival of the Spaniards, the bearded white men led by Pizarro, from Andean cosmogony to the contradictions of modernity, this story teaches us that wealth is not an absolute value.
On the side is the photographic exhibition "luz de Lucha by Stefano Stranges.
