The typical cauliflower of Moncalieri is not only a vegetable appreciated for its excellent flavour and the particular crunchiness that makes it suitable for all gastronomic preparations, but it is also very beautiful.
It has inflorescences with tightly clustered corymbs in the shape of a pointed dome, coiled like the shell of a snail, and their colour varies from ivory white to snow white, with slight shades of pink.
The Moncalieri cauliflower is on the market from mid-October until the end of winter, thanks to the rain, fog and frost that suit it so well.
