Baby Trekking
Departure: Torino - Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 53
Arrival: Torino - Piazza Castello 165
Development: 5 km
A stroll through the heart of Turin, through the main squares to discover the places that have seen great figures of history pass by and in search of the magical ground-level fountains in which to play freely.

We leave from Porta Nuova Station, passing through the Sambuy Garden, and take Via Roma to arrive in the small Piazza CNL, dominated by the presence of two statues depicting Turin's two rivers: the Po and the Dora. Passing through the street between the two statues, you enter the spectacular Piazza San Carlo. A number of historical Torinese cafés and pastry shops overlook the square.
Continuing along Via Roma, you arrive in the splendid Piazza Castello, dominated by Palazzo Madama and Palazzo Reale, residence of the Savoys until 1865. Overlooking the square is the Teatro Regio from 1740, which was completely renovated after World War II. Passing in front of the Teatro Regio you leave the square to reach the park of the Giardini Reali.

Returning to Piazza Castello, don't miss the four flush fountains in front of the façade of Palazzo Madama, and beyond the gates of Piazzetta Reale. From there, take the passage to the left to reach Piazza San Giovanni, next to the Duomo, the only Renaissance building.
Next to the square you can see the remains of the Roman Theatre dating back to 13 BC

Back in front of the cathedral, take Via Porta Palatina and then turn right into Via IV Marzo, Via Conte Verde, Via Palazzo di Città and then Via Garibaldi, an ancient Roman decumanus and today the longest pedestrian street in Europe at 963 metres. As you walk along it, you cross Via della Consolata, turn left into Piazza Arbarello and then left again into Via Barbaroux. At any time you can return to Via Garibaldi, reach Piazza Castello again and continue towards Porta Nuova Station.
