Sentiero delle Pietre Bianche: Tappa 1 Lago di Candia - Castellazzo

Tipo attività outdoor
CICLOTURISMO

The stage starts from the banks of Lake Candia. It winds among hills covered of woods that offer suggestive panoramic views and runs along the “coste”, the mild hillsides peculiar to this area. The route comes across the Lake Candia Natural Park and its marsh and canals and, going up the hill between Barone and Mercenasco, the chestnut woods characterized by some remarkable trees, the Lussana spring and the "Castelvecchio" in Montalenghe, the Regional association of wine producers of the Province of Turin and the Spurgazzi Park in Caluso. In Candia, a short detour from the main track, leads to the suggestive St. Stephen Church (XI century), a gem of the Romanesque style of Canavese.
