Program
DAY 1
Arrival of participants in Usseaux and accommodation in reserved rooms.
Free time at leisure for a walk in the village of "murals and bread": murals and paintings, the bakery, some beautiful fountains, the large washhouse and the old Canton family mill, now completely renovated and in working order, make Usseaux one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2
Breakfast and departure for the first bike ride to Assietta, famous for the battle fought on July 19, 1747 on the ridge between Val Chisone and Val di Susa during the War of Austrian Succession, between the French and the Austro-Sabauds.
Assietta: long but very scenic ride, requires good training uphill and good mtb handling on mule track downhill.
Nice route that follows the entire Assietta road up to Colle Lauson from here you descend to Gran Puy on a beautiful mule track and return to Usseaux retracing the Old Royal Way, followed in the past by wayfarers who from Perosa went to the land of France.
At the end of the tour, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3
Breakfast and departure for the second tour through the woods and flowery meadows of the Orsiera Rocciavrè Nature Park, a nature reserve at about 1900 mslm.
Pian dell’ Alpe: very scenic hike even if you do not climb up to the Assietta road.
Passing by the Fort of Fenestrelle and crossing the fort of Serre Marie, you reach Pian dell’ Alpe.
Refreshment break in refuge, descent on mule track to return to Usseaux.
Need fair training for the ascent and medium cyclist skills in riding the bike downhill.
INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPATION FEE: €215.00
THE FEE INCLUDES
2 overnight stays and buffet breakfast in Usseaux in diffuse hotel or apartments with double or twin room accommodation; nr. 2 dinners; nr. 1 lunch in refuge; health insurance.
