The Sagra del Brut & Brut in Villareggia is a cultural and food and wine festival created to promote and celebrate the Brut, a traditional sausage that is one of the symbols of the local culinary tradition.

Brut has its roots in the rural culture of the Canavese area, where the expertise of local families and farmsteads has transformed simple ingredients into a unique product, the result of processing techniques handed down through the generations. This cured meat tells the story of the region and remains an important part of the identity of the Villareggia community to this day.

The programme includes, amongst other things, guided tastings organised by ONAS, demonstrations of how the sausage is made, musical performances, entertainment, family-friendly activities and cultural initiatives dedicated to local culinary traditions, as well as guided tours of the historic centre and Villareggia’s most iconic sites.
