Fondazione Circolo dei lettori

Historical Venues
In the heart of Torino, on the piano nobile of the 17th-century Palazzo Graneri della Roccia, a few steps from the Mole Antonelliana, the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento and Piazza Castello, the Circolo dei lettori has its headquarters. The cultural centre, founded in 2006, is dedicated to the promotion of culture, books and reading. Ten rooms available for visitors to meet, read and study and the Barney’s cafeteria – open for breakfast, lunch, aperitifs and brunch – make for a cosy and unique space. The ancient staircase of honour leads to the Gallery, decorated with statues and precious chandeliers. Overlooking the Gallery is the central hall, one of the largest in Torino, decorated with fine friezes and stuccoes. Where Arturo Toscanini once played his music, visitors can now listen to great contemporary writers talk about their books and tell stories. Surrounded by the fascinating atmosphere of an ancient palace with modern touches, you can organise conventions, kick-off meetings, conferences and meetings, press conferences, openings, product launches and shootings, corporate events, round tables, workshops and celebrate your special moments.
