02. LAGHI DI AVIGLIANA - CENTRO STORICO

The side branch starts near the Lago Piccolo parking area, where a kiosk with a beach and picnic area are ideal for a stop-off. The cycle route skirts the lake, a destination for birdwatchers thanks to the presence of the Parco dei laghi di Avigliana nature reserve. The itinerary continues until reaching the paved climb near a traffic light that leads to the porticoed Conte Rosso square, the Arduin castle, the church of San Giovanni and the houses and courtyards that take you back to the medieval heart of Avigliana. Descend along the cobbled road to reach the urban section leading to the railway station and the shopping area where you can access the main route of the Ciclovia Francigena.
