Getting around

The city centre of Torino is easy to get around on foot, and getting around by public transport is simple, even for a school group: the metro serves an area that skirts the centre, connecting the main stations to the riverside area on one side and the north-west of the city on the other, and an effective network of trams and buses provides quick access to other parts of the city. For many destinations outside the city centre, suburban trains and buses can be a good option, but it is of course possible to hire a bus as needed.
