Torino hosted some of the most important and famous events of the autumn season, starting with Italian Tech Week. From 1 to 3 October, OGR Torino welcomed the fifth edition of the largest Italian event dedicated to technological innovation and the future of business. Year after year, it has grown into an international benchmark, attracting over 15,000 participants including startups, investors, companies, students, and professionals. Three days of sessions focused on AI, healthcare, media, robotics, and the Italian and European tech ecosystem, with more than 150 speakers. Among this year’s headline guests were Jeff Bezos — Amazon’s founder — in conversation with John Elkann, Chairman of Stellantis, and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission.
From 12 to 17 October, OGR Torino also hosted View Conference, the international event dedicated to visual effects, gaming, and technological innovation. With 150 guests from major film studios, premieres, and Oscar winners, the event counted over 400 participants. Notable speakers included Domee Shi, Pixar director and Oscar winner for Bao; Doug Chiang, Oscar winner for Forrest Gump and design supervisor for Star Wars; Pablo Helman, three-time Oscar nominee; Hal Hickel, Oscar winner for Pirates of the Caribbean; and Ian Hunter, two-time Oscar winner for Interstellar and First Man.
About the congress sector, among the many conferences, the highlight of the season was the 36th National Forensic Congress, the highest assembly of the Italian legal profession, held from 16 to 18 October at the Lingotto Conference Centre with about 2,500 delegates in attendance. Torino’s major museums (the Egyptian Museum, Palazzo Madama, the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento, and the Automobile Museum) opened exclusively for private visits, with an Opening Ceremony at Teatro Regio and a gala dinner at the Reggia di Venaria.
To conclude the season of major events, the Nitto ATP Finals crowned Jannik Sinner and recorded great success for the collateral events organized by the City of Torino, Piemonte Region, and the Torino Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Turismo Torino e Provincia and Visit Piemonte.
