The meetings industry in Torino and the its metropolitan area is continuing to show positive growth and is moving towards a phase of consolidation, confirming the sector’s strength. This is the finding of the Focus report commissioned by Turismo Torino e Provincia Convention Bureau and produced as part of the national OICE survey promoted by Federcongressi&eventi and carried out by the School of Economics and International Relations at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (ASERI).
The analysis of the data, presented on 14 July at the Circolo dei lettori, reveals that 12,503 events were held in 2025 (+1.5% on 2024), with 1,202,020 participants (+11.2% on 2024) and 1,598,319 bed-nights (+6.3% on 2024), generating 18.6% of hotel guest nights. The average number of participants per event rose to 96.1, whilst the average duration of events stood at 1.2 days.
Companies continue to be the main promoters of events representing 46.7% of the total, followed by associations (21.3%) and institutions (19.2%). In terms of venues, conference hotels host 62.8% of events, whilst the remaining 32.3% is spread across unconventional spaces, institutional venues, theatres, auditoriums and arenas, with 3% taking place in conference centres and 1.9% in historic residences, confirming the variety and flexibility of the region’s conference offering.
In terms of participant origin, local events predominate (74.4%), followed by national (19.9%) and international events (5.7%). However, when analyzing the overall participant breakdown, international events account for 14.1% of attendees, confirming Torino’s growing appeal on the global stage.
