A dance festival in the heart of the city.
‘A Ivrea si Danza 2026’ is a festival dedicated to the training and promotion of the performing arts, featuring a packed programme of activities: workshops with leading teachers, a choreography showcase for schools and young artists, open classes in the heart of the city, and a closing performance.
During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to study with Elisabetta Formento for classical technique and repertoire, Michele Merola for contemporary dance, and Tony Lofaro for modern dance.
The choreography showcase will be an evening dedicated to all the invited dance schools, which will have the pleasure of presenting their work on the stage of the Teatro Giacosa.
The open classes will bring some of the city’s most significant venues to life, with a series of outdoor activities ranging from yoga to Pilates, from oriental dance to Afro and hip hop: free sessions open to all, designed for enthusiasts, the curious and anyone wishing to get involved and experience the joy of movement and dance.
The closing event will be *Historia. A Story of Migration and Love*, featuring Samuel Peron and Veera Kinnunen: an engaging show combining dance, storytelling and live music, set in 1930s Buenos Aires, where tango and its melodies tell a story of passion, redemption and the search for freedom and identity.
