A tribute to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The Ergasterion Theatre Company, in collaboration with the Centro Danza Ciriè A.S.D., is staging its first production once again in a completely revised version.
The life and works of Mozart are explored at a brisk pace, paying an affectionate tribute not only to his great music but also to the man himself - his talents, his flaws, his triumphs and his defeats - through a careful and precise historical-critical analysis.
Amadè was a wanderer on this humble earth, and not merely because of his many journeys. He was a man of the world, as well as of music and theatre: a child prodigy, endowed with talents that were not merely rare but unique, brought up with firmness and rigour by a father who had the merit of recognising and nurturing his son’s genius; a tireless pilgrim; an avid and critical scholar of every branch of musical knowledge; an imitator and innovator; a truly free artist, the first of the modern age; Amadé has bequeathed to humanity an artistic legacy and a cultural heritage that continue to inspire and amaze to this day.
The show presents Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a different yet marvellous light, that of the man who best defines himself in his own words: “Ich bin ein Musikus”, “I am a musician”.
