After the extraordinary success of the “Colpi di testa” exhibition dedicated to hats, the annual appointment with haute couture at the Moncalieri Castle returns with a new journey through the history of another accessory: the handbag.

In leather or fabric, embellished with touches of charm or bright colours, the handbag has become an indispensable complement for women, the personal touch that still completes and enriches the most sought-after outfits and that through the cinema and celebrities continues to leave an indelible mark on the common imagination. Protagonists of the exhibition will be more than 150 handbags of rare elegance, expressions of craftsmanship and creativity.

The exhibition will retrace the evolution of this accessory from the 19th century to the 1960s.
