Circo in Pillole is the historic series that the FLIC Scuola di Circo offers to allow its students to periodically engage with the stage and a real audience, following intensive 7-day workshops led by professional directors. Thanks to the ever-increasing quality and preparation of students from all over the world, the creations reach a very high standard in both theatrical and circus terms.

Barefoot is presented by 36 male and female students of 16 nationalities enrolled in the Mise à Niveau and Technical Year courses, staged and directed by Riccardo Strano and Lucile Mouzac.

The directors describe the guidelines of the path leading to the creation of the show as follows: ‘Barefoot, they abandon their protections and fears, they face vulnerability to discover authenticity. Each step leaves a footprint, tracing a path of transformation: the rhythm of the body tells stories of deep connection with the earth and with others; the unstable balance, between falling and rising, becomes a teaching, a dance that harmonises with the unpredictable force of the waves’.
