On stage are the students of the First and Second Years of the FLIC Circus School who, under the direction of Ilaria Senter and Mikel Ayala, stage a project that fuses theatre, manipulation of objects and physical research, the result of an intensive week of study.

Loosely inspired by Elfriede Jelinek’s Ein Sportstück, Citius, Altius, Fortius is an intimate and political work that uses circus and words to evoke the underlying dynamics of sporting performance: sacrifice, individualism, passion, fun, discipline, nationalism, risk, frustration and glory. Students will take on the guise of fans, reserves, starters, reporters, referees... to give their best!
