Courenta dance workshop in the Lanzo valleys, with live music and experts in ethnomusicology and ethnocoreutics.
In the Lanzo valleys, courenta is the dance that everyone carries with them, in one way or another. The Courenta Mai festival has brought the dancers face to face with the mirror, to look at themselves, to confront each other and the audience, with the awareness that cultures and traditions remain alive as long as they have the strength to open up to others, to put themselves at stake and to continue to grow, introducing new elements and experimenting with different forms of participation.
At 9pm, the documentary Courenta dentro by Andrea Fantino, which explores the discourse of traditional music and dance in the Lanzo valleys, will be screened.
Participants include Silvano Balla, Roberta Bertolotti Bianc, Gianni Castagneri, Carla Cavatore, Barbara Giacchero, Giorgio Giors Reviglio, Carlo Marietta, Giusy Negro, Marino Poma, Blu l'Azard and CoroMoro.
