Festa di San Martino

Carmagnola celebrates local traditions with a programme that weaves together culture, history and flavours. The historic centre hosts events such as Portici da Leggere, the Mercantico dell’Antiquariato (Antiques Market) and a photo exhibition at the Salone Antichi Bastioni. In Via Valobra, vintage tractors and traditional games will bring the past back to life, while historical representations, dance performances and a castagnata in costume will bring ancient customs back to the square. Literary encounters, guided tours and the theatrical performance ‘La divina e il poeta’ (The Divine and the Poet) dedicated to the bond between Eleonora Duse and Gabriele D’Annunzio will complete the day.
