The Festival dell'Accoglienza (Festival of Welcome) was launched in 2020 as an initiative of the Pastoral Care of Migrants of the Archdiocese of Turin to strengthen its work of reflection and awareness-raising.
It is an opportunity to pause and reflect on the profound meanings of the verb “to welcome”, on hospitality, and on the obstacles and challenges to building inclusive and cohesive communities.
Each edition of the Festival aims to explore the multiple meanings of the verb “to welcome” thanks to the contributions of social workers, artists, writers, philosophers, theologians, teachers, volunteers, but above all to the testimonies of those who have experienced and/or are experiencing the “welcome” offered to them by Italy.
The theme of the fifth edition of the Festival dell'Accoglienza is “Hope is a root”.
