Josephine is an absent-minded and somewhat bungling witch, but she does not eat children. She prefers chocolates. Her assistant Giangatto, a cat musician and sorcerer's apprentice, is helping her prepare a magic potion: it takes a long time to cook, it is the potion to conquer fear.

Giangatto and Giuseppina will tell three fairy tales from the witch's point of view - Hansel and Gretel, Snow White and Baba Jaga - to show that witches and their magic can be beneficial and there is nothing to be afraid of.
