Spring, summer, autumn, winter: moments on an endless circular line, marking the year, and more. In the mountains, the seasons have their own unique beauty and charm, but they can also encapsulate another story, a story that is millions of years old, that starts in remote eras, crossing the time of the earth, that of nature and that of humans.

Pietro, a city dweller who occasionally likes to walk in the mountains, realises this. During an excursion that threatens to end badly, he has an encounter that will enable him to discover, little by little, a new and different universe, another way of looking at reality and, perhaps, to find a ‘soul’ where he would never have imagined one could be hidden.
