Little Mowgli, found by a pack of wolves, learns to live in the jungle by respecting its laws. His mentors, Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther, guide him through the pitfalls and dangers that a human cub must face in the tropical forest.
Based on the stories from Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book, the show adopts the language of dance theatre and narrative theatre. In fact, the narrator, aided by small reproductions of the protagonists, tells the story while skilled dancers bring the animals to life to mainly ethnic music performed live.
The costumes, consisting of heads sculpted in polystyrene created by set designer Federico Zuntini, are particularly noteworthy.
