The “Biking GAL - Gran Paradiso - Nivolet Bike Day” is back: a non-competitive cycle ride on asphalt roads.
Throughout the day, the road from Ceresole Reale to the top of the Nivolet Pass will be reserved for cyclists who wish to ride the climb in the complete absence of cars and motorised vehicles from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
To ride the climb, it is necessary to wear a protective helmet for safety reasons and moderate speed on the descent is recommended. There is no precise starting time, and those who wish to do so may walk up the slope on their own, which will be closed to vehicular traffic for the entire day. Participants must comply with the road traffic regulations in force on the individual routes travelled, and all participants must comply with the Highway Code in order to ensure the safe running of the event.
The day is organised in collaboration with Gran Paradiso National Park.
