Readings by Giulia Brenna

Alma Mahler Schindler, a beautiful and sensual woman, an opportunist and vicious femme fatale, was the muse of some of the great artists of the 20th century. The ‘widow of the four arts’, as she was called, loved (and buried) those artists who at the turn of the century changed the rules of painting (Klimt and Kokoschka), music (Mahler), architecture (Gropius) and literature (Werfel). He made a legend of his own life - studded with worshippers and detractors - through which one can reconstruct and understand the creative process of an entire century.
