The Sagra del Cardo e della Cipolla Piatlina (Cardoon and Piatlina Onion Festival), now in its 50th year, is famously accompanied by the Festa della Bagna Caoda (Bagna Caoda Festival): this is the time when the work of the farmers of Andezeno is celebrated, as they offer the fruits of their fields, especially cardoons and piatlina onions, at the market in the central square.
The food stand offers a rich and appetising menu in which Bagna is the star, served with fresh vegetables (booking recommended). On Friday evening, there will be a DJ set; on Sunday, the music area will come alive at 11:00 a.m. with a concert by the Marentino Philharmonic Orchestra and continue at 2:30 p.m. with performances by Undercover, Drum Theatre and Free Byte.
The following will be available upon reservation: wine masterclasses, guided tours of the Church of San Giorgio, the Balbiano Cellars and Villa Simeom; for children, there will be a Tomino Workshop and a Grissino Workshop.
