A fascinating journey into the heart of one of the city's most emblematic working-class neighborhoods, where traces of the industrial past intertwine with the most innovative expressions of contemporary design. Along the way, you will discover concrete examples of architectural recovery and creative regeneration, in a perfect balance between memory and future.
Departure from Piazza Crispi, symbolic access point to the district, once bustling with workshops, workers and large factories, now at the center of a significant urban transformation.
The walk crosses former industrial areas now converted into cultural spaces and craft workshops, where the art of reuse is the protagonist. Discarded fabrics, hides, plastics, tires and tarpaulins are transformed into everyday objects and furniture of original design, giving rise to a circular economy that focuses on the environment and creativity.
The final stop takes place in a fascinating industrial warehouse complex from the early 20th century, now the beating heart of creativity. Here, the recovery of materials takes shape in original and sustainable products, witnesses to a new environmental and social sensitivity.
