Hidden treasures between sky and water in Avigliana

Few people know the hidden treasures of Avigliana, which tell the story of its glorious past at the foot of the Sacra di San Michele.

The walk will begin with a guided visit to the Church of San Pietro (10th century), an ancient medieval parish church completely covered in frescoes, full of color and legends, with spectacular Gothic spires soaring into the sky, visible from various points in the city.

We will then visit the sanctuary by the Great Lake of Avigliana, a true treasure chest of valuable artworks and an unbeatable panoramic viewpoint over the lake. The tour will continue with a waterside walk on floating walkways to uncover the city's ancient legends and search for the ghost of the Prince of Acaja.
