Every first Saturday of the month, in the morning, a walking guided tour that traces the history of the city and its monuments: the medieval Castle, the Cathedral with the Romanesque bell towers and the recently restored crypt, the Bishop’s Palace, the alleys of the upper town with their evocative views and the squares where the Battle of the Oranges takes place during the historic Carnival.
The tour will begin with a visit to the Museo Civico P.A. Garda in the heart of the city and its interesting archaeological collection.
Duration: 2,5 h - Tours in Italian/English
Meeting point: piazza Ottinetti, in front of the Tourist Info Center.
Tour guaranteed with minimum 5 partecipants.
It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes.
In November, the tour will take place on Sunday 2nd instead of Saturday 1st. On the occasion of the 22nd National Urban Trekking Day, focusing on “The Jubilee Routes through history, culture and spirituality”, the tour will follow the theme of promoting Italian territories through sustainable routes that stimulate discovery, reflection and encounter.
