Terre da Tastè, Distretto del Cibo Pinerolese

Terre Da Tastè Pinerolo E Pinerolese

Terre da Tastè, the Pinerolo Food District, includes 15 municipalities: Buriasco, Campiglione Fenile, Cantalupa, Cavour, Cercenasco, Cumiana, Frossasco, Garzigliana, Macello, Osasco, Pinerolo, Piscina, Scalenghe, Vigone, and Villafranca Piemonte.

It is an area of approximately 400 km2 with nine landscape systems, over 350 farms and numerous products with certified quality labels.

It is in this diverse land that a thriving agricultural industry has developed, consisting mainly of many small and medium-sized farms (more than 1,400), consortia and business associations. Agricultural production consists mainly of fodder and cereals (maize and barley), in close synergy with the livestock sector (cattle, pig and poultry farming). In addition to these main activities, there is also fruit and vegetable production on a smaller scale, which is sold directly on the farm or at local markets.

There are numerous products with quality labels (DOC, IGP, PAT), which in some cases act as a driving force for other local products. These same products are also the basis for events and exhibitions of regional, if not national, importance.

This is where the name of the District comes from: Terre da Tastè. Lands to be tasted in many ways: through sight, history, nature and, last but not least, taste!
