Ruby red colour. Taste not too intense with characteristic scent of raspberry and violet. Dry or sweetish flavour, fresh and pleasant. At least 500 years old! This is the Freisa di Chieri wine that is cultivated throughout the hilly territory that embraces Torino. It is produced in the Freisa Secco, Freisa Superiore (aged 1 year) and Freisa Amabile typologies and is an autochthonous Piedmont vine with origins dating back to the 18th century. It is excellent with fritto misto alla Piemontese and thanks to its balanced and dry taste is ideal for first courses and roasts.

The D.O.C. label was awarded in 1973, while in 2002the Consorzio di Tutela e Valorizzazione delle DOC Freisa di Chieri e Collina Torinese was created.
