A pleasant hiking itinerary that allows you to explore the areas where the Ivrea moraine joins the Canavese Prealps (Turin), passing delightful moraine lakes, farmhouses, country chapels, and small, tranquil villages with a long history. We'll leave the cars at Vistrorio (481 m) and follow the signs of the Alta Via Morenica along paths and sheep tracks, climbing to an altitude of 600 m, then descending slightly to the bucolic plateau of the Nonani Chapel. We then descend to the charming Alice Lake (578 m). We follow its shore, then ascend for short stretches of asphalt alternating with dirt roads, reaching the woods that cover the basin where the small Meugliano Lake lies (700 m). We climb back up to the Costa di Canapre (750 m), following the moraine path that leads to the village of Alice. Then, following the Sentiero della Torbiera (Peat Bog Trail), a final stretch of trail takes us to the area of the "forges," ancient mills that operated thanks to the mills on the banks of the Chiusella River. From there, a final stretch of asphalt will take us back to Vistrorio.
