Casalborgone, an ancient hilltop village in the Monferrato Torinese area, will host the 2025 edition of the International Early Music Course offered by the Accademia del Ricercare as part of the Antiqua season.
The course will involve the entire village, particularly the centre, further enhancing the remarkable local historical and architectural heritage with the repertoire of the great composers performed by young talents.
Around seventy young musicians from different parts of the world are expected to attend: a great opportunity for cultural exchange and discussion, but also a great vehicle for learning about the area.
On Thursday 24th, at 9.15 pm at the Church of Santa Maria Maddalena in Piazza Statuto, I Madrigalisti di Intende Voci will perform Magnificat on the 300th anniversary of the death of Alessandro Scarlatti and 340 years after the birth of his son Domenico.
On Monday 28th, again at 9.15 pm, in the parish church of San Carlo Borromeo in Piazza Carlo Bruna, the students will give their first concert entitled I Grandi Maestri del Barocco (The Great Masters of the Baroque).
On Wednesday 30th, at 8 pm, again at the Church of Santa Maria Maddalena, the students will give their final concert entitled Viaggio Musicale dal Rinascimento al Barocco (Musical Journey from the Renaissance to the Baroque).
