Visit by the General with his staff, pipers and drummers, and standard bearers to the schools of Ivrea.
The visit ends at the Fiorana primary school for the traditional lunch.
2:00 p.m.
Transfer of powers in Piazza di Città.
In the Town Hall, the Mayor symbolically entrusts the civil powers of the Piazza to the General.
Reading of the General's Ordinance by the Deputy Grand Chancellor.
Frigian cap ceremony.
2.30 pm
The General mounts his horse and the Historical Procession marches from Piazza di Città.
3.00 pm
Children's parties in Piazza Ottinetti and Piazza Maretta. Games and entertainment.
3.00 pm
Departure of the March.
The March proceeds along the following route: Corso Cavour, Corso Nigra, Borghetto, Piazza Gioberti, Via Arduino, Via Palestro, Corso Massimo d'Azeglio to the Church of San Lorenzo, then back to the centre and on to Piazza Castello via Via Palma and Via delle Torri.
4:00 p.m.
As the procession passes, opening of the Fagiolata in Via Palma (Via IV Martiri).
4.15 pm
Visit to the Bishop at the Major Seminary.
The Historical Procession is received at the Major Seminary, where the General presents the Officers and Abbà to the Bishop, who receives the ritual gift.
5.30 pm
Visit of the Abbà to the Mayor at the Town Hall.
The procession descends to the Town Hall where, in the Golden Hall, the First Citizen receives the homage of the little Priors and offers them the customary gifts.
6.00 pm
Generala in Piazza Città.
At the end of the tour, the Pipes and Drums perform the Generala in honour of the General.
6.30 pm
Investiture ceremony of the Auditors and General Intendants of the Militia and War Forces of Canavese in the Town Hall.
9.00 pm
Bands and shows in the city.
Parade and performance by bands and guest groups in the historic centre.
