Rivoli is preparing to welcome one of the most important sporting events of the year, hosting the start of the 8th stage (Rivoli–Sestriere) of the 2026 Giro d’Italia Women.
To mark the arrival of the event, the town has organised ‘Waiting for the Giro’, a programme of events running from 3 to 6 June.
• Wednesday 3, 9.00 pm – Villa Cane d’Ussol: presentation of the book *Michele Scarponi. Profondo come una salita* by Alessandra Giardini. Marco Scarponi will be present to discuss the work of his Foundation, which runs road safety and sustainable mobility education projects in schools.
• Friday 5, from 9.00 pm – historic centre: Notte Rosa with street performers and shops open, their windows decorated in pink; Villa Cane d’Ussol: Rivoli Summer Ride, an event hosted by Michela Di Martino. The evening will be opened by the Explosion Band, followed by a performance by singer-songwriter Andrea Cerrato. The main guest of the evening will be Shade.
• Saturday 6th, 10.00 am–12.00 pm: obstacle course and road safety education for children aged 3 to 10; 1.00–2.00 pm, Corso Francia and Piazza Martiri: official start of the stage; 3.00 pm, Pista San Giuseppe, Corso Francia 15: Rivoli Rocks 2026, a collective concert featuring performances by over 100 primary and secondary school pupils from the local area.
