Filippo Dini directs and stars in what is widely considered Jean Cocteau’s most perfect play. This production marks one of the first plays directed by Luchino Visconti in newly liberated Italy. It serves as a powerful exploration of tragic and impossible love in its most exasperated and paradoxical forms.
