A new stage in the discovery of the beauty of silk.
The artefacts on display in the museum’s textile room offers a chronological journey through textile art from the 14th to the 20th century: from the late mediaeval and Renaissance velvets resplendent in gold, the tour touches on the geometric patterned patterns of the 16th century, the flowers and swirls of the Baroque taste to the imaginative and light designs developed in Lyon for clothing in the 18th century.
