What if the written notes were not enough?
The musician takes the historical score and shapes it, revealing its hidden nuances, ornamentations and diminutions: 17th-century music is brought back to life as a creative act.
The fabric is the meeting of Northern and Southern Italy, through the scores of Biagio Marini from Brescia and Andrea Falconieri from Naples, alternating with original compositions.
Two worlds mirrored in the Mediterranean: Venice, with its gaze turned towards the East, and Naples, reaching out towards the Iberian Peninsula. Different styles, yet united by a language to be reconstructed and shaped.
The music intertwines with an original story brought to life by puppets and the skilled hands and voices of the Compagnia Marionette Grilli, with creative workshops for children and families at 4.00 pm, before the performance.
Ensemble La Vaghezza: Mayah Kadish and Ignacio Ramal on violins, Anastasia Baraviera on cello, Gianluca Geremia on theorbo, Marco Crosetto on harpsichord.
