For the fourth consecutive year, the Associazione Amici di Villa della Regina is organising the Musica Regina in Villa International Music Festival. The artistic director of the festival is the concert pianist Francesco Mazzonetto.
Since its inception, the festival's motto has been to bring together musical and artistic genres, and this year's numerous events include the opening concert (28 June) based on film scores for octet and piano; the recital of the famous American pianist Jeffrey Swann (3 July) and then the piano recital (4 July) with maestros Gianluca Luisi and Francesco Mazzonetto at the piano, directed and performed by Amanda Sandrelli, who will give voice to the most intimate and human aspect of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's personality through his letters.
The calendar closes with a concert dedicated to Ezio Bosso (5 July). It will be performed by the duo made up of the cellist Sandro Laffranchini, first cellist of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, and Francesco Mazzonetto on the piano.
