Magic returns to light up the city with Moncalieri in Light, the grand architectural project that, like every Christmas, illuminates monuments and symbolic places with video mapping entirely dedicated to the enchantment of the festive season. The historic centre is transformed into a luminous path that combines tradition, emotion and visual suggestions: every evening from 5pm to 1am (on 24 and 31 December until 2.30am), the Bridge of the Knights Templar, Porta Navina, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and the Castle will come to life through light shows and artistic projections.
Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II will once again host animated video mapping, projected every 20 minutes from 5pm to 1am (with audio active until 10pm). At the centre of this magical setting of lights and atmosphere, the square will host the Christmas Grove, a green and illuminated space where you can experience the magic of the festive season in an even more engaging way.
Moncalieri's extensive calendar offers numerous events dedicated to families, young people and culture enthusiasts, from sacred and Christmas carols to performances by city choirs, theatrical activities by local companies and themed markets, as well as shows at the Fonderie Limone.
The historic centre and shopping streets will also see the return of the travelling Santas, who will bring the city to life until 24 December, bringing with them Christmas characters and lots of sweets for the little ones.
From 13 December to 6 January, from 3pm to 7.30pm, the historic headquarters of the Famija Moncalereisa will once again host the Cribs from around the World exhibition, a unique collection of nativity scenes from different countries, carefully and passionately arranged to illustrate the diversity of Christmas traditions through the materials, styles and symbols of distant cultures.
