The ‘Amici della Scuola Latina’ Association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Pomaretto, is once again this year proposing a short spring musical review with three Saturday evening events featuring high-calibre performers who will take us from classical to modern and contemporary music.
The calendar includes:
- Saturday 3 May, with the Duo Pizzulli (Carmela Pizzulli, violin and voice, Maria Teresa Pizzulli, piano) who will perform ‘The other half of music: music by female composers’.
- Saturday, 10 May, with Andrea Costamagna and his ‘Musical Journey’ proposal to present the multiple potentialities of the concert accordion, through a stylistic journey starting from Baroque polyphony to Argentine tango and jazz influences.
- Saturday 17 May with the DrumLess Trio (with Massimo Strati on double bass, or Gilberto Bonetto on piano and Diego Vasserot on trumpet and flugelhorn) who with their ‘Jazz in equilibrium...’ will explore the repertoire of standards with a personal and measured approach, in which the absence of drums opens up new sound spaces, emphasising interplay between musicians and a more subtle dynamic.
All concerts will take place in the Sala Incontri of the Scuola Latina in Pomaretto.
