An ancient wine, a blank sheet of paper, and the freedom to be surprised.
All the Senses of Taste: sight is an experience that brings together food and wine discovery and creativity, set among the terraced vineyards of the Germanasca Valley.
The group sets off from the Waldensian Temple in Pomaretto, where Natalia Pons of the Refourn farm leads an easy walk up to the ciabòt: a small rural shelter nestled among the vines, once a resting place for winegrowers, now lovingly restored as a gathering place for tastings and events.
Along the way, Natalia tells the story of Ramìe: a heroic DOC wine, crafted from native grape varieties grown in just two villages, Pomaretto and Perosa Argentina.
At the ciabòt, painter Rita Barbero leads the wine on paper workshop: wine poured onto the page becomes pigment, stains take on shapes, and something unexpected emerges from every mark. No experience or technique needed; simply let your imagination read the stain and find its own creative spark.
The morning closes with a convivial lunch overlooking the vineyards and the mountains of the upper Germanasca valley, sampling the wines used in the workshop alongside a selection of products from Delizie del Dahu.
